About the eHouse Formula

The eHouse cleaning solution uses a gentle alkaline formula with a pH of approximately 8 — close to baking soda and significantly milder than bleach-based cleaners (pH 12-13) or acidic toilet tablets (pH 1-3). This means effective cleaning without the corrosive damage that traditional drop-in products can cause to rubber flappers, seals, and metal tank components.

Safe For:

  • Children — cartridge is hidden inside the closed toilet tank, out of reach
  • Pets — no direct exposure; formula stays in the tank water system
  • Septic systems — biodegradable formula compatible with all septic tanks
  • Plumbing — pH-balanced formula does not corrode pipes, flappers, or valves
  • All standard toilets — works with single-flush and dual-flush systems

EPA Registration

eHouse Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under registration number 104458-FL-1. This confirms the product meets federal safety and efficacy standards for household cleaning products.

Safety Questions & Answers

Is the eHouse toilet cleaner safe for homes with children and pets?
Yes. The cleaning cartridge is installed inside the toilet tank with the lid closed, making it inaccessible to children and pets during normal use. There is no direct skin contact with the formula.
Can the eHouse cleaner damage my toilet or plumbing?
No. Unlike acidic drop-in tablets or bleach pucks, eHouse uses a pH-balanced alkaline formula (pH ~8) with controlled dosing. It is designed specifically for in-tank use and does not damage rubber flappers, seals, or metal components.
Is the eHouse formula safe for septic systems?
Yes. The formula is biodegradable and fully compatible with septic systems. It does not disrupt the bacterial balance needed for proper septic function.
